But the features that really set the shoe apart from the world of adults include the lasts that are specially designed with small feet in mind and the side zipper. The double injected midsole, innovative SUPPORT FRAME and stable upper with a padded collar team up to create footwear that is a true pleasure to wear. • SUPPORT FRAME - With the LOWA MONOWRAP® frame, the midsole of the LINO GTX provides the very best comfort. This three-dimensional midsole design was developed by LOWA in 1995. The frame comfortably cradles the foot and support it when the shoe wearer ventures across uneven surfaces. The sole design is slightly raised for shoes with a SUPPORT FRAME.
• DOUBLE INJECTION - To provide effective cushioning and improved comfort, the sole of the LINO GTX is bonded to the upper in a technically demanding injection process. The upper boot is placed into a specially designed mould. Various layers of PU foam padding are then poured into it. In the process, the sole and upper are bonded together.
• The use of a zipper in the LINO GTX enables wearers to easily and quickly slip their footwear on and off.
• KIDS LAST – The model LINO GTX is produced with a special children’s last. These lasts are not simply mini-versions of the lasts used for adults’ feet. They have been specially modified to reflect the anatomy of children’s feet and reduced in size. In addition, the height and width of the heel, toe and instep areas have been modified.
• The LOWA® KIDS WINTER TRAC® comes with a sole design made of PU whose features include large studs and a special groove design in the front and heel areas. As a result, small winter fans are optimally equipped for romps in the snow.
