The torsionally stable design consists not only of robust leather in combination with a fused foil material, but also includes a directly injected midsole made of two different layers of LOWA DynaPU®. The outsole is also distinguished by its bidirectionally arranged stud profile. This creates the necessary cushioning, optimal grip and, above all, perfect wearing comfort. It is a functional overall concept, one that offers the flexibility required for daily use and the stability needed for short treks on terrain.
• Guaranteed weather protection, even in pouring rain and heavy snow: The MALTA GTX MID is equipped with a GORE-TEX membrane. The innovative technology delivers optimal waterproof protection and breathability.
• To provide effective cushioning and improved comfort, the sole of the MALTA GTX MID is bonded to the upper in a technically demanding injection process. The upper boot is placed into a specially designed mould. Various layers of PU foam padding are then poured into it. In the process, the sole and upper are bonded together.
• The rubber sole LOWA® CAMARA comes with a large profile design that offers a bigger contact surface. This feature delivers solid grip on easy terrain or during urban outings.
• In this construction style, the sole of the MALTA GTX MID is designed as a type of shell that forms a cosy home for the foot. This also creates a comfortable fit.
• The midsole is the leading contributor to the footwear’s rolling properties and cushioning. In the MALTA GTX MID, this midsole is made of a specially developed plastic: LOWA DynaPU®. The special feature: It retains its restoring force even when it’s pressed together thousands of times. As a result, the finished boots will maintain their exceptional cushioning properties even after you have walked many kilometres in them.
