• 2-Zone-Lacing – Thanks to the two-zone lacing system used in the RANDIR GTX MID, the forefoot and upper have their own separately adjustable lacing zones. As a result, the shoe can be individually adapted to the anatomy of the foot and laced in different ways for ascents and descents.
• Minimal Seams - Stitches and material overlaps are eliminated in the RANDIR GTX MID thanks to the use of large pieces in forming the upper. This reduces the possibility of pressure points, a feature that enhances comfort.
• Feet can roll more effectively if the upper of a hiking boot can be easily bent. Such a feature saves energy when the wearer climbs hills and it provides real comfort in the process. For this reason, LOWA has integrated a flexible zone and a lace loop into this area for the RANDIR GTX MID. This involves repositioning the boot’s eyelets and using a flexible lace hook that improves heel comfort and facilitates bending.
• Dyna PU - LOWA DynaPU®+ is used in the RANDIR GTX MID. This is a specially developed foam padding used in the midsole of footwear. It plays a key role in the rolling properties and the cushioning of the footwear. The new LOWA DynaPU®+ offers even better recovery behaviour thanks to its special cell structure. This, in turn, creates an improved rebound effect for athletes. Even with constant use, the recovery behaviour does not lose any of its high performance qualities.
• The VIBRAM CORNERSTONE sole has a modern profiled sole design with distinctive edges on the lugs, which provide the necessary traction in the forefoot area and grip in the heel area in varying terrain. These good properties are reinforced by the very pronounced heel edge, which increases the braking effect, especially downhill.
