The trekking model VIGO GTX can dynamically take on the challenges it faces on the trail by drawing on its multidirectionally arranged tread edges. Their upper made of full grain leather and fabric provides the stability that every user needs while lace hooks facilitate improved heel grip. The boot’s fit can be individually adjusted by using the two additional hooks on the cuff. This feature assures that users have all of the support they need when they ascend and descend mountains. The waterproof GORE-TEX membrane continuously creates a balanced climate in the boot, a feature that keeps feet dry at all times and prevents them from working up a sweat even during exhausting hikes. Sharp rocks and loose scree do not stand a chance of causing harm thanks to the footwear’s robust TPU toe cap. Looks matter, too. Prints on the side and embroidered elements underscore the athletic heritage of the mid-cut trekking boot. No matter whether you want to take a short excursion in nature or a longer tour in low mountain regions – the lightweight trekking boots VIGO GTX will enable you to reach the widest range of destinations. You will experience, kilometre after kilometre, just what these athletic multitalents are capable of thanks to their functional features, unlimited wearing comfort and the continuously balanced foot climate that they provide in any type of weather.
• GORE-TEX® – The membrane provides reliable waterproof protection. No matter what sort of adventure you may be planning, you can count on GORE-TEX technology to keep your feet pleasantly dry.
• Minimal Seams - Stitches and material overlaps are eliminated in the VIGO GTX thanks to the use of large pieces in forming the upper. This reduces the possibility of pressure points, a feature that enhances comfort.
• To add flexibility to each eyelet of the VIGO GTX, the lacing systems through which laces are threaded are affixed separately. These sections are made of soft leather trim or supple textile materials that prevent pressure points. Thanks to the flexible arrangement of the eyelets, the laces can be individually adjusted without producing any excessive pressure on specific areas. But the tongue maintains its optimum positioning.
• Approx. 70% Suede leather - Suede leather comes from the flesh side of the hide. It has a looser fibre structure, a quality that creates a velvety surface and a light pile. Suede leather is particularly durable and open-pored. Depending on the desired look, suede leather can remain untreated or be oiled or waxed.; Approx. 30% Fabric - Our natural and synthetic fabrics facilitate optimal warming and moisture management with the help of their usage-specific characteristics. Thanks to their structural design, they are smooth and make our products extremely comfortable.
• Polyurethane (PU) is a soft plastic that has very good cushioning properties and is usually used in the midsole as a result. Through the use of PU, the soles become lightweight and functionally flexible.
• Thanks to the two-zone lacing system used in the VIGO GTX, the forefoot and upper have their own separately adjustable lacing zones. As a result, the shoe can be individually adapted to the anatomy of the foot and laced in different ways for ascents and descents.
• The footwear model VIGO GTX can be resoled.
• The VIGO GTX is equipped with a LOWA RUBBER OUTSOLE. Conceived by LOWA to meet the challenges of real-world use, the profile design is made from an optimised rubber compound. The result is a rubber outsole with good traction in the backcountry and off trail. The heart of the LOWA® ELIKA PRO sole is the technical profile that offers solid grip. The two-component PU midsole provides optimal cushioning on long tours while the distinctive heel edges add pleasure to descents.
