Style, aesthetic, innovation. The ALPINA ALTO is a visor helmet for skiers who like to look good and be able to see everything. The newly designed and perfectly visor translation rotation Mechanism (TRM) sets new standards in terms of comfort. Thanks to TRM, the visor seals extra tightly to the face, thus helping the helmet to sit compactly and comfortably on the head. The ALPINA high-tech lenses ensure optimal visibility and sharp contrast. The ALPINA ALTO’s active air venting structure guarantees active ventilation. At the same time, the clean play of surfaces in combination with the scattered hole structure of the ventilation creates an iconic look.

• 2-in-1 visor helmet
• Multidirectional visor joint mechanism
• Interior from Lavalan sheep wool
• Long neckwarmer made from soft microfleece
• Perfect climate on your head due to adjustable air openings
• Air vents at the top of the helmet can be opened and closed using the Airstream Control mechanism. The air flow can thus be regulated and adapted to the weather conditions. This ensures perfect air conditioning inside the helmet at all times.
• Proven a hundred thousand times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the strap buckle with the red push button and multi-step automatic locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap on the way up the mountain and tighten it for downhill - and in a fall the locking mechanism cannot open automatically.
• The FIDLOCK helmet buckle can be closed securely even with one hand. The self-activating, magnetic locking mechanism is thus very convenient when putting on and taking off the helmet. The one-handed operation is quick and intuitive, without the risk of pinching skin. The FIDLOCK fastener is even easy to use when wearing gloves. The fastener securely prevents the helmet from being knocked off your head when the straps are correctly adjusted.
• Hardshell helmets consist of a Hi-EPS core and an impact-resistant outer shell made of ABS or polycarbonate. This combination ensures maximum safety.
• The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). The material has microscopically small air chambers that absorb the forces acting on the helmet in the event of an impact. Hi-EPS provides optimum protection and at the same time allows for extra-thin helmet wall as well as narrow helmet shapes.
• Helmets with a permanently integrated visor. The visors range from Singleflex and Doubleflex to Quattro and Varioflex. The large interior volume behind the draught-free visor makes these helmets perfect for spectacle wearers.
• lavalan® is a washable insulation material made of sheep wool, used as a padding in ALPINA ski helmets to provide extra comfort. The sustainably obtained lavalan® wool has both insulating and temperature-regulating properties, is breathable and prevents unpleasant sweat odours from forming thanks to the wool’s natural moisture management and the self-cleaning function of the wool fibres. European wool is exclusively used for production, the short production routes for which allow us to monitor animal welfare.
• Mirror is a lens on which multiple reflective layers are applied. They provide protection from harsh glares and infrared light. Mirror is not only the feature of a highly functional lens, it’s an element of style.
• The “translatory-rotatory-mechanism” (TRM) seals the visor particularly close to the face. The mechanism allows the visor to rotate from the upper to the lower position. In the lower position, a linear movement (translation) ensures that the visor can be moved towards the eyes. This creates a compact fit of the helmet on the head.
• The Run System enables all Alpina helmets to adjust to a custom size by using an easy-to-move dial. The Run System Classic scores points for its price/performance ratio. It is a simple and sturdy wheel that holds the helmet securely in place where it belongs: on the head.
• Varioflex is a lens technology in which the lens tint automatically adjusts to the weather. The self-tinting (photochromatic) lens reacts to visible light. When exposed to radiation, chemical elements open up and create a flat, darkening effect.
• When the light intensity decreases, the chemical elements close and the lens becomes brighter again. This process takes seconds. The result: a lens for a wide variety of light conditions.
• A helmet can only provide the best possible protection if it remains in the optimum position in the event of an impact. The adjustment and fixing of the two straps under the ear plays a decisive role. The Y-clip system ensures a millimetre-accurate adjustment - in a matter of seconds.
