Alpina designed a helmet adjustment system with volume regulation for the Attelas: The helmet’s shell can be adjusted perfectly to the head by means of a fine ratchet system. This significantly increases comfort when wearing and a sense of security. A helmet that wiggles or presses down can ruin someone’s ski day. With the patented Ergo3 system, this doesn’t happen. The adjusting mechanism that lets the helmet adapt perfectly to any head shape can easily be used even when wearing thick gloves. The high-quality interior fittings of the hardshell helmet also allow maximum comfort and a secure, draught-free feeling. The helmet’s front edge is protected by wear-resistant material that keeps the soft inner lining warm even at cold temperatures. One-Touch ventilation ensures air supply: A handle can be used to open or close the ventilation slider. The air flow can thus be regulated and adapted to the weather conditions. This ensures that the climate inside the helmet is always pleasant. With the Attelas visor, the QuattroVarioflex mirror visor eliminates reflections, distracting glares and infrared rays. Contours are highlighted in contrast, and the tinting automatically adjusts to lighting conditions. Other visor options are also available separately as accessories. Thanks to the unrestricted 180° view and the large interior volume behind the visor, the helmet is also especially well suited for glasses wearers.
• Patented volume adjusting system Ergo3 for optimum size adjustment
• QuattroVarioflex visor: polarising, contrast-enhancing lens for all weather conditions
• Visor provides optimum protection and 180-degree field of view
• Outstanding climate regulation thanks to One Touch Ventilation
• High-quality, comfortable interior fittings
• Air vents at the top of the helmet can be opened and closed using the Airstream Control mechanism. The air flow can thus be regulated and adapted to the weather conditions. This ensures perfect air conditioning inside the helmet at all times.
• Proven a hundred thousand times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the strap buckle with the red push button and multi-step automatic locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap on the way up the mountain and tighten it for downhill - and in a fall the locking mechanism cannot open automatically.
• Ergo³ allows the helmet to be perfectly adjusted to the head. Here, the helmet is not adjusted in circumference but instead in volume. The shell can be adjusted to the head all the way round by means of a fine ratchet system. This significantly increases comfort when wearing and safety.
• Hardshell helmets consist of a Hi-EPS core and an impact-resistant outer shell made of ABS or polycarbonate. This combination ensures maximum safety.
• The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). The material has microscopically small air chambers that absorb the forces acting on the helmet in the event of an impact. Hi-EPS provides optimum protection and at the same time allows for extra-thin helmet wall as well as narrow helmet shapes.
• Helmets with a permanently integrated visor. The visors range from Singleflex and Doubleflex to Quattro and Varioflex. The large interior volume behind the draught-free visor makes these helmets perfect for spectacle wearers.
• Multi Mirror is a lens on which up to sixteen reflective layers are applied. They provide protection from harsh glares and infrared light. Multi Mirror is not only the feature of a highly functional lens, it’s an element of style.
• Quattroflex is the term for a specially coloured lens in ruby red, which reduces the proportion of blue in visible light. This increases contrasts in the snow, allowing surroundings to be perceived better and more quickly. Thanks to the lens’s brightening effect, the contours and textures of the piste can be perceived better even in poor weather conditions. A polarisation film of highest optical quality built into the lens completes the Quattroflex effect: Distracting scattered light and glares are filtered out and the contrast is also enhanced. Reflections and mirroring are minimised, which allows icy surfaces and dangerous situations to be seen much better.
• The combination of Q and V technology. Quattroflex is our highly contrast-enhancing lens technology with polarising filter. Varioflex makes the glass tint automatically. The photochromatic (self-tinting) lens automatically reacts to visible light and darkens in a matter of seconds or brightens if it’s getting darker.
• Varioflex is a lens technology in which the lens tint automatically adjusts to the weather. The self-tinting (photochromatic) lens reacts to visible light. When exposed to radiation, chemical elements open up and create a flat, darkening effect. When the light intensity decreases, the chemical elements close and the lens becomes brighter again. This process takes seconds. The result: a lens for a wide variety of light conditions.
