Large field of vision, comfortable to wear, modern design and an outstanding price/performance ratio – these features set the Scarabeo S Q ski goggles from Alpina apart. Thanks to the large cylindrical lens, everything is within good view. The glasses are equipped with the high-quality top lens technology from Alpina: Quattroflex. This enhances contrasts and filters out disturbing reflections. The Hicon lens is the best possible equipment for diffuse light conditions. The Fogstop coating on the inside prevents the lens from misting up. In addition, the double lens is break-proof and guarantees 100% UV protection. The flexible Comfort Frame and single-layer foam padding ensure they are comfortable to wear. The goggles are best suited for narrow faces. The benefit for spectacle wearers: The Scarabeo S Q can be worn over normal vision aids.
• Enhanced contrast and minimisation of reflections as well as glare due to a high-quality polarisation filter
• High comfort without pressure points thanks to the flexible goggles frame
• Perfect for glasses wearers thanks to recesses in the frame of the goggles
• Extra-wide 180° field of view thanks to panoramic lens
• Fog-free view with a smart ventilation system in the goggle’s frame
• All Alpina lenses provide 100% UV-A-, -B-, -C-protection and thus guarantee excellent eye protection.
• Ski goggles with 180°+ view have a special frame, which is also combined with an extra-large panoramic lens. This means you can see more than the 180-degree field of view prescribed by the CE standard. You retain a better overall view - and can perceive hazards in your peripheral field of vision earlier.
• Airframe venting is an intelligent ventilation system for ski goggles. Air vents at the sides and bottom with special foam covers allow a continuous movement of air within the body of the goggles. This circulation of air disperses moisture preventing the lens from misting up.
• The Comfort Frame is designed in such a way that it adapts perfectly to the shape of the face thanks to the flexible plastic webbing in the forehead and cheek area. The result: an ergonomic fit that ensures the best possible comfort and prevents pressure marks. At the same time, the ski goggles are perfectly finished.
• Cylindrical lenses allow a flat, straight-line goggle construction. Compared to a spherical lens, the distance to the eyes is smaller. Thermoblock and Fogstop effectively prevent icing or fogging of the glasses and ensure a clear view.
• With Doublelens Thermoblock, an air chamber is created between the two lenses to prevent a cold bridge. As a result, the view is fog-free and always optimal.
• All Alpina ski goggles have a Fogstop coating. This is not smooth but rough - on a microscopic level. This prevents moisture from forming a closed layer. So the lens doesn’t fog up and the view remains clear.
• Over the Glasses are designated as the glasses you can wear over normal vision aids. They are designed to allow enough room inside and space on the sides for a glasses frame.
• Glasses with polarised technology have polarising lenses. This means they filter light and only let direct rays of sun through. As a result, distracting reflections and glares are blocked and do not reach the eyes. This makes these glasses an outstanding choice for types of sport in and on the water.
• Quattroflex is the term for a specially coloured lens in ruby red, which reduces the proportion of blue in visible light. This increases contrasts in the snow, allowing surroundings to be perceived better and more quickly. Thanks to the lens’s brightening effect, the contours and textures of the piste can be perceived better even in poor weather conditions. A polarisation film of highest optical quality built into the lens completes the Quattroflex effect: Distracting scattered light and glares are filtered out and the contrast is also enhanced. Reflections and mirroring are minimised, which allows icy surfaces and dangerous situations to be seen much better.
